I know SPMC is supposed to be Shield optimised but it seems that's all 'under the hood' type stuff that if you don't really need it makes the need for SPMC questionable, for me at least. I've also got used to, and vastly prefer, the Movies would randomly stop on Kodi (via Shield), or the app would just flat out crash during a movie. SPMC hasn't done this to me once. About the only issue I have with SPMC is occasionally audio doesn't come through when starting a movie, so I have to disable, re-enable passthrough during playback. I'm fine with that though.
